Today, we ordered pizza. A long wait and several phone calls later, we found out that someone met the delivery person at the end of our driveway, signed our receipt, and stole our pizza. Way to check the credit card pizza people. FML

but how would this have worked if you hadn't paid ahead of time? were they willing to pay for them if they reached the end if your driveway and they needed cash?

your required by law to check any and all signature pertaining to credit cards. its a way to check for fraud. if your not happy with the signature you are allowed to ask to see their drivers license.

Dispute the charge with your credit card company. The pizza place will have to produce the signature (which isn't yours) or cancel the charge. Either way you get your money back.

I think every delivery guy need to go the door deliver pizza, not meet at end of driveway, thing like this happens. What op can do is cancel the payments with a threat. Pizza place lose it business because improperly delivery. The driver should learn to deliver at the door, not the side of the house, not at end of driveway, etc.

that improper delivery comment is just driving me nuts. Every pizza place that delivers has it's own standards of delivery. there's not an international or national code of pizza delivery conduct. so improper delivery at one place could be acceptable at another company.

At a scoop function once for my year the delivery guy left $500 of prepaid pizza with some random the deal when our boat docked they would had it over stupid delivery person that day (they had to remake everything again though)

Oh and you can call the police, have delivery driver charge of improper delivery, and arrest of theft. Doesn't seems right but when you pa for it credit, and forged a signature, it againsrt the law.

Improper delivery??? lmfao. like there's international laws on the techniques of pizza delivery. I deliver pizzas and while we do not accept credit cards over the phone on deliveries, we do take checks. it was an honest mistake on the drivers part and is easily fixed by calling the store and explaining the situation.

fyl. was it dominoes? they suck, I ordered a pizza and they gave me a med Hawaiian with peppers when I ordered a large Hawaiian and charged for a large. they ended up calling and saying that they mixed up two pizzas BASTERDS!

Being a part-time delivery driver myself, I normally don't have a name to check, and rarely even get to see the card. That does suck tho. Which is y I always hide the credit card receipt and act like I'm about to demand cash when handing over the pizza, then pull out the receipts to sign normally after hearing "and I paid with a card." Actually have caught one douche bag trying to steal it that way b4.
