Today, we were at the end of our surfing trip watching a photo montage. A picture popped up of an ugly girl surfing so I shouted out "I didn't know Shrek could surf". The room went very quiet. "Shrek" was sitting beside me. FML

people here take everything so seriously here, shit like this happens all the time in highschool, which is probably where OP is if he acts like that... i mean its different if hes 40, but if hes 16, i dont see why all you prissy little girls are getting your panties in a bunch also, karma doesnt exist, people just like seeing patterns in events, and bad things are bound to happen to bad people

because it shouldn't happen in high school either! Just because a person is 16 doesn't mean they can get away with being cruel assholes, picking on the way ANYONE looks, acts, speaks or dresses. You teach the kid at 6 or so when they start making rude comments that its wrong to insult others. It should not be tolerated... high school or not.

i love how many people have told you to go die, to get injured, and your ugly. i can see how you were going for a joke but it turned out quite badly, obviously. I think the only reason people are so harsh against the OP is because the girl was a stranger, and that's a ****** up thing to say about someone you don't know. I have no doubt in my mind that the vast majority of you who are in high school or graduated, never actually gave a shit when someone made fun of someone else or otherwise said something mean. Society has kinda instilled the practice of showing some degree of respect to those we don't know. While there are douchebags that can't even do that, I'm almost certain most of you getting on his case are hypocrites. Would you have lashed out like that if you knew everyone in the room?
