Today, while eating with my kids at McDonalds, my son put his hand up and wanted me to give him a "high five." I went to give him a five, but he moved his hand at the last second and I ended up slapping him in the face. Now everyone there thinks I'm a child-beater. FML

#50 Well, *of course* those people you see regularly at McDonald's cannot be the ones who only go there once in a while ;) But that doesn't mean that these moderate consumers wouldn't exist or were hopelessly outnumbered. They are just less visible.

#50 Maybe it's also some sort of social difference. For example there are stores and drinks which have a low reputation. You will hardly find customers from upper classes there, but not due to a poor quality of the products. This becomes obvious when these products and brands change their reputation due to marketing campaigns.

one time i was about 5 I was pulling on my mom's arm, and she was brushing me off. I ran away from her as she went to brush me off and some how managed to catch her opposite elbow in the face. Shit like that happens.

YDI, because: You're taking your kid to McDonalds. I have enough friends who have worked at fast food places and have told me what goes into their food. It doesn't fit into a healthy lifestyle anyway, and if you're taking your kids for fast food, I really doubt it's just for a "treat" as some other posters have said. You're setting your kids up for what they're going to be eating for the rest of their lives. Plus, there's so much salt that goes into that stuff. Ugh. I haven't eaten there since I was twelve, and even then, it was close to never. Plus, who hits gives a high five that hard? If it's as hard as I'm thinking, it shouldn't look or feel like anything more then a hard tap. And people talking about hitting their kids as punishment... all I have to say, is it should never come to hitting your kid on the face.

Why do people get mad just cause she takes them to McDonalds? It's her god damn kids so she can do whatever the hell she wants to do!! And as for the high five....that's hilarious!! I haven't gone to McDonalds in a LONG time, but for some reason, I might just go there now for some hash browns =P

Ooohh i'm telling Ronald! >:o I don't think he'll be lovin' it. xD

Stupid hypocrites and moralizers. Taking your kids to McD every once in a while doesn't make them (or you) fat or lazy if your diet is otherwise fine and you exercise enough (and normally cook at home). Nowhere in that post does the OP say that s/he takes them to McD daily, weekly or even monthly. Of course, this could also be one of those families that eats at fast food restaurant (almost) every day, but as long as you don't know the truth, please do shut the **** up.

Apparently no one is ever allowed to have unhealthy food once in a while, ever. Who knew?

Geez people calm down. Who doesn't take their kids to McDonald's?! It's probably not like he takes them everyday! That isn't even what the post is about anyways. But sorry OP. Hopefully you won't ever see those people ever again. Or maybe just don't eat there ever again. But shit happens, as long as your son knew you didn't mean anything by it and that he's alright.

For some reason, I feel like a McDonalds marketer wrote this. The fact that you were at McDonalds is irrelevant-so why name drop?
