Today, while tuning my bass guitar, I noticed a very strange screeching sound. I leaned over to look behind the neck. The biggest string snapped off and cut the side of my face. FML

120 (Tokio)- I have a question for you- do you wear your makeup like that out in public? And if so, what kind of reactions do you get from adults? I don't want you to take offense, because I think your makeup ROCKS!!! And you are super cool!! But I was just wondering, because some people are so judgemental.

yeah strings are a bitch sometimes mine are hard to replace one time my brother tightened up the strings and I didn't know and strumed em and it sounded bad almost broke em but I also play trumpet

YDI for tightning that string so much. There is absolutely no reason for bass strings to be tight enough to pop.

be thankful it wasn't a double bass....

we don't call our singer a diva, we say he's just in the band to give ********... and we don't have a bass but when we get one he won't be useless cuz he's gonna run around hitting people with it. haha

i have been playing guitar and bass for 20 plus years and have broken plenty of strings. when they break on a bass they just pop and stretch the outer round wound part. they cannot snap and fly uncontrollably and hit you. especially on the larger string.

Is that even possible? The E string is pretty thick. Maybe a regular guitar. Maybe old strings and/or too much tension.
