Today, I started my community service at the dog pound. I like animals so I thought it would be a good place to do it. As I arrived they were throwing dogs that had been euthanized into a dump truck to be taken to a landfill. That was my job for the day. FML

Today, I started my first day of work at our local humane society. I asked where the break room was, so my coworker directed me to a small room in the back of the building. The only place I get to take my lunch break is the same room where they euthanize, freeze, and cremate the animals. FML

Today, it was my first day as an animal control officer. My first dispatch was to collect a dog that had been hit by a car. I had to clean up my dead dog on my first day of a job that barely pays rent. FML

Today, at my minimum wage job, we received a half-way decomposed dog found in a lake. It was my job to tear open the bag and try to identify the breed and color. It would've been easier if the body wasn't crawling with maggots. FML

Today, I work at a doggy day care. Employees are not allowed to leave the dogs unsupervised for any reason. So while I was alone in a yard, my stomach decided that it would be the perfect time to empty itself. Because I didn’t want to lose my job, I puked in front of everyone. FML

Today, I went to my father's house to get my dog, since I had left it with him while I was on a business trip. When I got there, my dad said the dog pooped on the floor a few days ago, and so he took him to the pound. FML

Today, I was fired from my local animal shelter. I was a volunteer and am currently in school for veterinary technology. My education made the paid staff at the shelter feel threatened. FML

Today, I was on a job trial at the local pet shop and, naturally, was doing all the disgusting jobs. As I was cleaning the kittens' litter in the cat enclosure, someone thought it would be funny to lock me in there. I sat in a giant cage in the middle of the store with people laughing at me. FML

screw all you guys. im so sorry op :( animals are equal to humans. even more so. they're not stupid like most people. and seriously, I would rather 'deal' with starving children in a third world country then dogs. and anyway, america kills plenty of children (: soo op, your life SUCKS.

First off, just because someone had community service doesn't mean that they got in trouble. My bf did community service as a project for a class he's taking..and second, how could ANYONE deserve this? I don't care what you've done, there's no way that anyone could deserve this. I'm so sorry you had to go through that, OP.

I have two children. Elena is my human daughter. Rory is my canine son. They are siblings in every way. They play, they fight over toys, and they love each other very much. All the three of us have is each other, and we are inseparable. They are children on the same intelligence levels, but yes, one of them is furry and walks on four legs. I wouldn't trade them for anyone. You try to tell my daughter that her furry brother is not equal to her.
