i work at a vet clinic and one of the girls used to work at a pound and she told us they did the same thing there. It was awful just hearing about it. I'm sorry you have to experience it.

That's pretty bad, I feel for you man. I had to throw my dog in a hole after I shot it, and the feeling of her lifeless body is something I will never forget.

That's really makes me sad!!

If it weren't for shelters, these dogs would be starving on the streets. Most "non-kill" shelters are so over-crowded that they turn dogs away. Many then get abandoned. It's not the fault of the shelters that they have to kill dogs, it's the fault of that dog's previous owner, anyone who allows their dog to have puppies, and anyone who buys a dog instead of adopting one. Shelter employees and volunteers love animals more than anyone, and would love nothing more than to see a day when their job isn't necessary.
