Today, my teenage daughter asked me how old I was when I lost my virginity. I sarcastically replied that I'm still a virgin. She looked at me blankly and said, "Jeez, no wonder you're so uptight. You need to get laid, mom." FML

Or maybe she's being sarcastic as well and you didn't pick it up. Maybe don't be a sarcastic bitch when your daughter ask you a question. I asked my mom the same question when I was a teenager, she answered honestly.

It's your job and responsibility as a parent to have theses talks with her and explain these things to her. You deserved it for being sarcastic and for not opening up the conversation more.

It was a potentially unnecessarily personal question so her mom likely didn't feel the need to take her seriously, assuming that her daughter is biological then her mom was figuring her daughter knew how reproduction worked ASSUMING the daughter is not under twelve or something silly, and an inference from the daughter's snarky input about her perception of her mother's demeanor doesn't sound like she was looking for some close bonding information time.
