Value

Today, I got home from work to find my wife asleep in her easy chair with my two year old son asleep in a pile of torn-up paper. I soon found out it was my 1960s collection of a Superman comic book series that I inherited from my dad. It was worth well over $2,000. FML

That's so very sad. Those babys just don't know better:-(

17. I really hope you don't ever have kids if you were being serious..then again you probably disowned them already if you do ...dumbass.

Marvel vs. DC Comics??? *picturing Wolverine rip off panties* You know my answer. Sorry OP, it still sucks!

Sell your kid on the black market. That should make up the difference XD

I was thumbing you down anyways, but your profile pic only encouraged it more.

A similar thing happened to a friend of mine but she was dead.

half u commenting probally don't have kids. I have a 14 month old who gets and finds stuff we have hidden. he's already figured out the babyproofing shit we did to the house. some kids are smart compared to others.

Next baby Einstein? Lol However, even more reason to stay on top of watching your child better. Wouldn't you say?

Or they've just had one of those zombie children that can just sit quietly and stare at a wall all day. Not all children are like that. Some have ridiculous amounts of energy, and spend every waking moment running around everywhere tearing shit down. That's just how they naturally are, and there's not much you can do about it.

And you're not watching your kid if you know they can do this? My cat can jump twelve feet and LOVES paper products, so I make sure all my antique books are hidden away where she can't see or get to them. Don't trust kids or animals around anything you value ever, no matter how brilliant YOU may think your child is.

.....That's the point, that you can't watch them ALL the time - no matter how hard you try, they will be out of your sight for long enough to cause trouble, which is often something like 2 seconds.

I actually choked a little bit when I read this. FYL.

Meh, I go both ways on this one... FYL, because that sucks. I don't fault your wife for falling asleep though, if she's home all day with a two year old. YDI it at the same time, though, for leaving something so valuable ANYWHERE a two year old might be able to find it. As in, not locked away somewhere. There goes his college fund!
