Not everyone enjoys the same things. I do enjoy reading, but its something I do alone for my own enjoyment so I couldn't care less if someone else reads or not. If someone has a hobby that absolutely doesn't interest me, I am curious what the draw is. So I ask and sometimes I get a new perspective.
He could've really been curious on why you actually read, is it a pastime? Is it to get your mind of things? Relieve stress?

I feel you OP. I love reading, to me they're better than movies because you feel like your right there and you can let your imagination run wild. It's a shame some people don't see reading the way we do.
