Today, while looking through my son's browser history, I found a Google search for "stop looking in my history u nosey cunt". I swore last week that I don't invade his privacy, so I can't even punish him for the bad language without looking like a lying bastard. FML

Completely deserved it. Let him have his privacy. He's growing up. YDI.

Overly strict and invading parents make for amazing sneaks and great liars.

Obviously you deserve it if he knew he couldnt trust you. Kids should be able to trust someone who is it supposed to be if it isn't you?

YDI. He deserves his privacy just like you do

That's the most funniest thing I've heard today

Depending on his age im assuming hes atleast a teen you shouldnt be snooping. You should know how curious teen boys can be as you were one once. You can easily setup red flags that notify you if he looks as something particulaly concerning otherwise leave it be. Last thing you should be doing is lying/betraying his trust. If he cant trust his own parents who can he trust? Besides if hes smart enough to pull this off i gaurentee he already knew you were lying to him hence why this happened. You can easily see the last time your computer was accessed and if it was while he was at school or out its pretty obvious.

Ha-ha...YDI!!! Can't say it enough!!! My teen years were perfect except for snooping of parents!!! Teens NEED their privacy!!! Let him make his own mistakes and live his life!! Geez Louise!

oh you know helps with that to not be a ******* liar all the time maybe build up a little trust with him so hell respect you more

It's fine to be strict if that's what you thinks right. But lying about it is where you are going wrong. How can you expect your kids to be honest if you can't be honest with them
