What the actual ****?

Today, after having finally kicked my insomnia's ass after three hours, I was woken up by something I only thought happened in movies. Someone had paid for a Mariachi band to play for their girlfriend, outside my apartment, in the middle of the night. FML

I'd normally not like mariachi.. I mean hardcore mariachi. But some of the songs are good. Vicente Fernandez and Alejandro Fernandez have some really nice, very romantic songs. I am a helpless romantic, and all the girls I've taken mariachi to don't seem to mind.. It's customary of our culture after all.

If it was a paid mariachi band they would probably already be aware of noise disturbance regulations. When OP says 'middle of the night', instead of 3am or something, it makes me think maybe this was occurring at like 10:00pm. That's certainly still wrong, and OP should still file a complaint with the police department, but if it's one of those areas where noise needs to cut off at 11:00pm, then it is still within reason. Also, just because it's a mariachi band doesn't mean that they're playing as loud as possible, because there are many quieter, more romantic songs that they do, and it might have just woken OP because OP is an insomniac that can't sleep well. Sorry, just playing devil's advocate on this one. **** mariachi bands.

Even if it's a quiet romantic song, it's still a band, and the said female being inside her house, I think they would've played it at a volume loud enough to penetrate through walls.
