Today, I was packing my son's lunch and we'd ran out of water bottles. I asked my 16 year-old to run to the store. She didn't want to, but gave me one she had. After dropping my son off, my daughter frantically told me she'd made a mistake. I sent my second grader to school with a bottle of vodka. FML

A 16 year old with vodka is not that big of a deal. Yes, she should have checked the bottle before she gave it to her mother but mistakes happen. It also doesn't say anywhere that she planned on taking that water bottle to school with her, it is not at all uncommon for teens/young adults (even those of legal drinking age!) to have water bottles with liquor in them. Do you really want to show up at a party with a huge glass handle of vodka? And she doesn't necessarily have a drinking problem either... you are assuming she would drink all of it at once. And the assumption that she had it in a water bottle to "hide it from her mother" is ridiculous because clearly she had no problem coming forward when she realized the mistake and her mom doesn't seem to care that much. Kids drink. If you're safe (not a drunk driver, excessive binge drinker) it's not a big deal. Get over it.

epic. truly epic, nothing beats vodka ;) just hope he didn't try to swig a load at once though!

I hope the kid doesn't get addicted to the vodka

@Kandy (With a k??) She's not a bad parent for having her kids drink, she's a bad parent for raising stupid kids that hand their mother bottles full of vodka.

can i have your daughter's number?

*snicker* at people saying "oh no, poor kid's gonna get drunk"... You actually think he'd like it? And finish it off? Not likely.
