Today, I went out on a date with a guy significantly older than myself. I told him I really liked him because I can have an intelligent conversation with him, unlike most guys my age. He told me he just wanted to get into my pants. FML

At least he was straight forward? Now you don't have to waste any more time with him.

that's what you get for dating an older man lol

At least both of you told the truth from the get go. That is better than most of the relationship posts on here.

Getting a guy to have an 'Intelligent Coversation' with you? Good luck with that.

not troll, but... check her profile, it will make sense

Haha the jonas in the profile name gave it away tbh. I love these profiles with "deal with it" and "I don't care about your opinions". So bad ass! Most of them are 12-15 year old girls with more life experience than the rest of us combined.

"so typical, why cant you be more like edward"

"Life: Jonas Brothers." oh lmfao! hahahaha. the jonas brothers are CGI/chastity-belted freaks anyways, so good luck getting into your hometown.

What an asshole! Not all guys are like that though.

and how is he an asshole? Because he wants something different than her? Just because he doesn't want a relationship doesn't make him an asshole.

It has nothing to do with dating an OLDER guy, its guys in general. Its the game.

The words "significantly older" tells a lot. If a much older guy asks out a much younger girl, 99% of the time, it's to get in their pants, not to find somebody for intelligent conversations.

If he's "significantly older" than you (I'm assuming you're in your twenties and he's late-30s, early-40s), and he isn't already married, there's a reason why he's not! That should've been a warning sign. Also, before anyone can tell me "couples get together even if they have a big age difference", I know. How do I know? My parents are 12 years apart. I know that some couples do have large age differences, but she said significantly older... and, maybe I watch too much TV but when most women date someone significantly older... yeah, it's usually some old guy. (If anybody watches George Lopez on Nick at Night, think of when Vic got together with Lindsay...yeah. Or when George's niece Veronica dated her professor.) But, of course, that's not always the case. TV doesn't portray a realistic picture. It might just be a 5 year difference or so. Wow, I just had an argument with myself over somebody else's life.......... I need to get out more often. P.S. OP, you should know better. Guys don't mature much with age :P

So much stereotype... it's unbelievable....

another 12 year old who thinks she has enough life experience to tell adults how to live their lives...yeah nick at nite is not a reliable source for anything

Yeah, I kinda explained that it's probably just cuz I watch too many shows that involve that kind of thing. Like I said, sometimes relationships like that DO work out (e.g. my parents) but, most guys dating a much younger lady have problems or just want to take advantage of some young lady that's looking for a mature relationship.

hey at least he was honest but seriously maturity doesn't come with age it comes when u as an individual are willing to mature but maturity doesnt mean u have to be a boring individual if u still have an inner child hold on to that cuz its nice to still act like a kid even at an older age

the same thing happened to me except he tricked me into it. i would have much rather had it that he told me thats all he wants. you should be thankful for an honest man. and it makes sense older guys thinnk that they can take advantage of younger girls cause there more gulliable but yea FYL still YDI
