Cursed cursive

Today, I was called by my son's school. They said he'd been forging my signature and comments in his reading book. He didn't forge them. I don't know what's worse: my handwriting looking like a 6 year-old's, or being too cowardly to admit it. He has a week of lunch detention, but I still have my dignity. FML

You let your kid get a week's worth of detention because you won't admit it was you? Some parent you are. Your kid's gonna be pissed at you, and you deserve all of it.

This is a win for the kid. Everyone, think about this: a lot of people WISH they could have had this opportunity when they were six. Why? At only six years old, he has already learned that his parents are petty, untrustworthy and unreliable. Most kids don't learn that until far later in life, after they have relied on their parents for too long. And it seriously messes up their lives. At least now the six year old can start making plans to take care of himself and avoid deluding himself into thinking his parents will take care of him. And what did it cost him? A week of detention? Small price to pay for such precious knowledge. I bet every adult who evertually found out that their parents were douchebags wishes they had know at the age of six.

I think the OP is saying FML because they feel bad for doing that to their kid. FYL for being an ass, but what parent hasn't done something to save their own skin and blamed it on the kids before? Maybe not like this, but still. YDI though, big time, hang your head in shame.

what does your dignity matter? you've lost your sons trust, DOESN"T THAT MATTER TO YOU? your a sorry excuse for a parent, its still not to late to change what you've done, ring up the school if you feel bad about it because u can try and make amends i'm sure your son would appreciate it
