Today, my fiancé and I were fooling around when his foreskin ripped and bled all over the place. After a trip to the emergency room, the doctor told us no sex for six weeks to let it heal. We're getting married and going on our honeymoon in two weeks. FML

for everyone out there saying that an uncircumcised **** increases the the chance on hiv or whatever. do i really have to remind you that it has to come into contact with someone with hiv in the first place? for **** sake not everyone sleeps with ******!

HIV can be caught very easily by one mistake, one wrong partner, one broken condom or fooling around without sex. If I'm honest, it's actually harder to catch than most people think, and you could sleep with someone with it quite a few times without catching it (even if you go unprotected) but the odds are much higher without circumcision, and while one person may sleep with an infected person over and over and be fine, someone else could do it once and catch it. You just don't know, and it's unfair to label anyone who has it promiscuous. Also, there are other ways of catching it than sex and people could not know for years and thus spread it around. Also, putting aside HIV, HPV is much, much more common (in the western world) and is one of the key causes of genital cancer. It causes most female cervical cancers which is a high cause of death in women, particularly in countries where smear testing is not the norm. I know someone who slept with a guy once - the condom came off and he pulled out rather than finishing, but she still caught HPV from him (one time, and he pulled out), and he wasn't circumcised. A man who isn't circumcised is three times more likely to carry HPV than one who is. HPV is very common and I've read some stuff that says almost 90% of sexually active women get it at some point in their lives, and since it goes away on its own over a couple of years and is symptomless, most women don't even know they've had it. However, if they got one of the types that causes cancer then they're in trouble, and it's pretty undeniable that if more men were circumcised then less HPV would be going around in the western world, and less HIV in places like Africa

Yes, let's mutilate baby boys because you know someone who had a condom slip off.

Faxe makes a good point. what are you complaining about? "my life is f***ed because I can't have sex for six weeks"?big deal. sure, you're getting married soon, but what does that have to do with anything; you're not exactly consumating your marriage now, are ya? ;] so if anyone's going to claim that marital sex isn't special enough to wait for, then they can't say "FML" for missing out on what they've made into perfectly mundae ordinary sex. hope you survive your next six weeks :]

even if your having sex before marriage there is still something about "the wedding night" which is still special it only ever happens once - technically- virgin or not it still hold some significance. its not exactly an fml but definetly a fhl he misses out on the wedding night, the honeymoon, the weeks after that and is probably in a shitload of pain right now.

sex is all fun and games until the foreskin is ripped

people, STDs have a higher rate when uncircumsized.

Chocolate_Chunk 2

people, you can wank at a higher rate when uncircumcised

Oh god, I can't imagine how much that'd hurt. Hope that never happens to my hood.

People, please do not use STD's as an argument for circumcision, it is a heavily contested theory. The WHO study in Africa pointed out that those who weren't circumsized had a slightly higher chance of contracting HIV because they "assumed" the foreskin "may" allow the virus to linger around. Fact is, if you have poor hygiene and don't wash your privates you can expose yourself to not just STD's but other bacterial infections as well. Also, the same study by the WHO pointed out that even if you are circumcised it is just plain DUMB to not use protection during casual sex with multiple partners.
