Today, I was carrying several bags of groceries up the stairs to my third story apartment when I saw a giant rat climbing down the wall towards me. I screamed and dropped my groceries, which went over the rail and landed on the bottom floor, destroying them all. The rat? Just a big leaf. FML

A rat, climbing down the wall?!?!?! Having never lived in a rat infested shit-hole, I have no experience with them, but do they really walk up and down walls? Seriously? If they don't walk up and down walls, YDI for being retarded enough to think they do. If they do then YDI for being scared of (what you thought was) a fuzzy little rodent that you could kill with one stomp of your foot.

actually yes they do walk up walls. stucco walls. we have roof rats in phoenix and they climb anything and everything.

since when can rats defy gravity? I'm surprised only one person before me noticed this part of the story. I think if I saw something climbing down a wall I would do a double take just to make sure I was seeing correctly and understanding that the laws of physics have changed.

Yes, but notice in that there is only one where it shows the rat climbing downward, and that is only possible because of the wire rack it is climbing. I would have believed it if it had said the rat was climbing up the wall, but it said it was climbing downward toward OP. It is always easier to climb up something than down, especially when on a fairly flat object such as a wall.

That's only one video, which I was just using as a funny example. Trust me, my female rats could climb both up and down walls, so long as they had at least a tiny bit of texture to them. (My male rats were too heavy ... they were both a foot long just in body).

i would usually click FYL for something like this because it sucks to have all your groceries destroyed because you made a mistake. but. maybe its my mood today but i read this and just thought what a moron. get your eyes checked or learn to hold onto your groceries when attacked by leaves in the future.
