They were joking, right? But, hey, free fun. (:
I see no problem with this FML. For one, no your life is not F***ed. Even if you think it's a stupid idea and a waste of time, think of it this way: you didn't pay for it, what do you have to lose? Just cancel the account if you don't like it -_-' Second of all, ignore all these people telling you that you are f***ed. There is absolutely nothing wrong with online dating. In fact, one of my best friend's parents met one an internet dating service, and they've been married something like 20 years now, and are genuinely in love. So because of all this, I have to say this is NOT an FML and you should probably think about thanking your cousins for such a thoughtful gift. And last but not least, believe me when I say that you are not the only person on the planet that has trouble finding a boyfriend/girlfriend...
Hey chin up. Two years ago my mom bought me a years subscription to eharmony and said "I think a computer can do a better job then you when it comes to picking a man." Yeah that's a direct quote. I've been in a relationship with a man I met on eharmony for over a year now. We will be getting married soon and I couldn't be happier. It might be a blow to the pride but it might also be the best thing that ever happened to you.
OMG! Get over it! They wanted to do something nice. Obviously you were acting depressed or something and they wanted to "find you someone special." They were being nice. As for the whole year, since you are complaining about that, they knew you are a bitch and knew it would take some time to find a man willing to except your flaws.
Wow... No fun to feel like they think you need it. Been there. On the other hand, I did use E-Harmony...and that's how I met my wife :-P
At least you have friends that want you to help you.
