Get out there

Today, two of my cousins sat me down and said they wanted to give me an early birthday present. With straight faces, they looked at me and said: "We signed you up for eHarmony, and paid for 12 months." Not only do my cousins think I need help finding a boyfriend, but they think it'll take a year. FML

At least you weren't looking for a girlfriend, or that sub woulda been useless. 12 mos is often a lot cheaper than 6/3/1.

Hey at least they showed that they care for you and want to help you out. True it's embarrassing that they think you need that kind of help but they didn't tease you and instead went out and found a way to help you meet someone. While it's not the ideal way, relationships made on the internet can work out and hopefully you'll meet someone you can love.

I really wouldn't worry about this. A lot of people use internet dating sites these days. It isn't really a big deal any more. I don't know your cousins but it seems like they were just being thoughtful. Also, a year seems like a good amount. I mean, even if you use it to date a lot who knows how long it will take to find someone to love. This doesn't seem like a FML to me. But then again, I don't know your cousins...
