The OP is "humiliated," and had her trust violated by someone she obviously cared about enough to humor what she thought was a real, if unusual, kink. The 'boyfriend' also did it to embarrass her to his friends, who will probably spread it further, which will damage her reputation. If you consider that a "harmless prank," you apparently don't understand the ramifications for victims of the kind of behavior the BF employed. Or you don't care, which is worse.

Nowhere in the FML did it say that he meant to humiliate her. Is it not possible that he was just trying to be funny (even if it was a very poor attempt) and that he never meant to hurt her? Is it possible he actually said sorry and tried to console her feelings? Why does everyone always see everything as an attempt to hurt someone and never as an accident?

...Because he did it for THREE WEEKS? 21 days? That is taking any prank too far when you execute it for that long. There is also the fact that the only reason to inform OP that he had told his friends would be to upset her. And even if that isn't why, he still discussed their sex life without her go ahead, which is also a betrayal of her trust, especially in the context he did it. The only other reason he would have told her that he had blabbed about it to his friends would be if one of his friends is as much of a ******** as he is and would run it in her face next time they met, and he didn't want to have that repercussion on top of the rest of the shit he did wrong.
