She should have called you...but I'm sure she forgot in all the rush of the things...Two sides to a story.
well you didnt know about what was happening to her! its not your fault
#6: I've dealt with harassment cases and what the OP was doing was NOT harassment. Her situation was difficult and I do not blame her for forgetting to cancel on you. However, I DO blame her for not answering her phone, or calling you back, once she saw you called. I know firsthand how difficult it is to lose a parent, and it is no excuse to treat people like crap or shirk responsibilities once you have been reminded of them.
Obviously it's hard when you use someone you love, but you didn't deserve that. She should have called to let you know she couldn't make it or at least answered your phone call for apologizing for forgetting to call. She wouldn't even have had to explain the situation, just say there was a difficult situation. Problem solved.
Oh, the closest person to me in my life has just died. Instead of spending all of my energy mourning his death and struggling to fix myself mentally and emotionally, why don't I calmly tell that annoying guy who's been calling me consecutively for the past 10 minutes that he will have to look at his pretty little apartment a tinnny bit later because I am too busy going through the worst day of my life? Seriously, consumers are SO selfish.
How inconsiderate of her not to even call you.
Agreed with #61! and pretty much everyone else on here. Yeah it sucks, but if you've made a commitment, you've still gotta inform people, especially for stuff like meetings! Cheer up, not your fault. Hopefully she'll realize later that she was being kind of an asshat.
It's her problem. sure, her dad's dead, that's probably sad for her I guess, but if you have an appointment then you tie up the loose ends.

thats not really a fml, how were you supposed to know? most people would do the same if someone didn't show when they were supposed to. Don't feel bad!
She was very rude considering you had no idea what had happened and she was still the one breaking her appointment without notification.
