I've not worked in a restaurant, but don't bussers get a cut of the tips? If I understand that correctly, the busser mustve been a moron.
if you dont want to be shady about money and dont want to bother with dumpster diving, get your manager to reopen the check and get the their name. Then you could just call them from the restaurant and tell them what happened and to ask how much they left. It's kind of weird to ask someone how much they tipped but, $700? I'll forgo formalities for that tip :)
wow...FYL. you should have taken it or let them know. der
hey, you're lucky. at the restaurant I serve at if if the credit card slip gets lost WE have to PAY for the meal.
you've obviously never been in the service industry, so please refrain from illegitimate comments like that. I agree, FYL. I've had to dumpster dive once or twice to get a receipt
MeganHOLLYWOOD, Just so you know No one cares whether or not you read her post considering you're probably an asshole anyways.
This is why I don't leave the slip on the table.

Oh wow, fyl and you should complain about that busser.
Are you kidding me? They were your only table and you weren't able to get there before the busser to collect your receipt? YDI
