Im sorry i know how that kind of stuff feels. i am a waitor at a high end resteraunt and we always get parties of 30+ on a regular basis. they usually tip well. Also to that ******* troll go **** yourself! it may seem simple but i can get hard as hell becasue with that many people it is hard to memorize who gets what but thats why i draw a diagram. and you also get those assholes who treat you like a dead rat like in the movie "Waiting" us waitors/waitresses get those kind of people but you have to be nice or they go to your manager and you get ******. its not as easy as it seems. and also your comp's that you enter the order in usually have a order history so just print another one out.i hope all goes well!
If you work as a waiter at a high end restaurant, I would hope that at the very least, you would know how to spell the name of your position. Also, if you worked in a high end restaurant, there is no need for drawing a diagram. Most higher end places use position numbers. Sorry.
i clicked "your life is ******", but granted it is, it's all the busser in the "f*cking" position, he/she owes you something....
I'm sorry, I work as a busser, and that kid's just stupid...
most shift leaders won't give you more than one table if you have a big party, dumbass
If he threw it out wouldn't it be on top in the trash?
just because she only had that one party doesn't mean she's a bad waiter. the restaurant i work in will have a designated waiter to certain parties. its to make sure no one gets to busy with that 40 top and their other tables. if she had the party by herself then it means that she's a good waiter because it shows that she can handle a big party like that on her own. even though the tip got lost. don't automatically blame the bus boy, since there wer 40 people there, think about the mess they had to clean up. maybe he thought it was a napkin or just trash. the waiter should've gotten the bill right when they left, that would've been the smart thing to do. for the people who think she can get the tip just from re-printing the bill, she can't do that. there has to be a signature or no tip. this has happened to me too, just tonight one of my tables had their bill come to $100 but they took both reciepts so i got no tip. we just had to reprint the reciept out again. i think this was more of the waiter's fault for not being there fast enough to get the tip. you said it was your only table for the night so you should've been on top of that table and saw when they left. then go the tip. it's not that hard. i've had many tables with big bills and i watch until they leave then i collect all the bills. the customer should've put the bill back in the bill presenter so you know it's in there but not everyone is that smart or considerate. i don't totally blame the bus boy, there must've been a huge mess and he probably thought it was just trash. you deserved it for not being on top of your only table that night. it sucks but now you've learned your lesson. #76...there was probably alot of trash so it wouldn't necessarily be on top of the trash.

Oh wow, fyl and you should complain about that busser.
Are you kidding me? They were your only table and you weren't able to get there before the busser to collect your receipt? YDI
