That's awesome! One less thing to worry about when you're old!
at least you have life Insurance
Ydi for expecting a car douche..
You guys, I don't think OP was expecting a car...she just used that as an example of a typical birthday present from parents nowadays. It is a bit weird to get a grave plot as a present, honestly...I don't think I'd enjoy that at any age. I'd be more suspicious then anything O.o lol
I don't see why anyone in the UK would get a car for their child's 17th! You can't learn to drive until you're 17. So they wouldn't be able to drive it yet!!
Maybe not where you live. Where I live, kids my age tend to get a cheap used car for their birthday as encouragement to go out and find a job. Besides that, it's portrayed as a typical teenager present on tv a lot, so I'm not surprised the OP thinks of it as such.
Where OP is she wouldn't have a licence yet. You can't learn to drive until 17 in the UK and most don't have their own car until they actually pass their test
Where I live, you get your license at 16, and most teenagers get cars for there 16th birthdays...same situation, different age...
Whereas I don't know a single person who got a car for their birthday, ever! I live in a fairly poor area though.. I don't know about where you are, can you drive supervised with a learners permit or something before 16? We can't here.
cool!
go down to the local retirement home and see if you can sell it for cheap and buy something you like:p
