Something made her throw up . . . was she drunk? Had she eaten mushrooms? Is she sick? She thought her moment was ruined--I would have said "It's all right, I still [repeat proposal]."
Ok. This happened to my best friend. Her boyfriend of yrs proposed. She cried and threw up amd it most definitely was a big NO. Why? Her now ex was irresponsible. He was in debt from school and she was starting med school. The debt itself was enough to put strain on a relationship bu they were having problems already. The relationship was already going downhill. His solution was to go even further into debt, buy a ring a propose. The same month he did this he hadn't given her any money for rent, bills, or living expenses. Mind my friend doesn't need a man to take care of her. She's a Dr now. She's ridiculously strng and intelligent. The best person I know. But she needed a man who was responsible. Who she didn't have to take care of. Who could be an equal partner in hhe relationship. He showed more than once toward the end he couldn't. My friend sad she felt a wave of fear amd anxiety that was so intense that she ran outsid to throw up amd then hid crying. Her ex kept trying to push her to reconsider. Which put more pressure on her. She soon after ended the relationship. Thank god for that. She is now a resident surgeon. She's saved lives. She's saved babies lives And delivered at least fifty via c section. (seriously, she did ob rotations). He ex carries a rock in his pocket amd is still dependent on others. He's even had the audacity to ask for for financial help two years after the incident. Not to mention for evryine saying girls cry when we are happy? Yea sure well get teary or cry but well be laughing at the same time. Hysterical "this is bad" crying is way different from happy crying.
Well, what did she say after that? Yes? No? Or did she just leave without explanation and never contact you again?
If she wasn't drunk I'm calling shinanigans.
Wow, that really sucks...I wouldn't think it was a No right away though...
Sounds to me like you're targeting the weak young man
That still doesn't mean she meant "No". She could've been waiting for the day you propose to her but got too nervous and threw up.
Okay, so...? I mean, what happened afterward? Perhaps your surprise just stressed her out extremely, or she wasn't feeling well in the first place. Not necessarily a "no."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't girls usually cry when they get really happy? Maybe puking and crying are her ways of saying yes. Odd creatures these females are.
first, why did she throw up? second technically that wasnt a 'no'. maybe you just caught her on a bad day...bad timing??
