Today, my 13 year-old son had a seizure in the middle of his history class. We were at the hospital for three hours and several expensive tests later he informed me he faked the seizure so he could get out of a group presentation. He was so proud that he was such a good actor. FML

Take that money spent out of any gifts/allowances he was going to get in any future holiday or birthday. Maybe that will teach him not to do something so serious.

I'm not even going to lie, that's pretty impressive.

If that's how he wants to get by in life then he needs to learn how to pay the bills backing the consequences. What happens next time he actually has a seizure and no one believes him? It's a serious matter and one that should not be taken lightly. Discipline and some life lessons should be in order.

I'd inform his teacher and have him do a presentation in front of everyone by himself

#14 What an annoying little shit, I'd have him pay the bills and find every opportunity to punish him for that.

#32 sounds like you can't recognize talent

you guys putting parenting advice and this mom is probaby like aww no sweetie its fine

#16 If she thought it was fine she wouldn't be complaining. Also not every one is an incompetent parent.

True 33, but unfortunately there are way too many that are now a days. Way to many parents that don't give out consequences or discipline.

It sounds like an Oscar worthy performance. But I seriously hope you make him apologize to his class and pay you back for the expensive tests

Scrambling for an upside here, at least he didn't have an actual seizure.

I can tell you from experience that a seizure is NEVER something you want to have happen!

Have him volunteer in a children's ward. He can read Chicken Little to them.

and give him a chance to learn what it's like for those who have real seizures

I feel like that would more embarrassing than just presenting... Lol
