While I give you points for having the guts to tell him, what did you really expect? Unloading on him like that puts him in a really weird position, and I really can't blame him for his response. Personally, I think you should have had a bit of respect for him and his girlfriend and kept all of that to yourself. And to the idiot who was like, "he's free game if he isn't married". Um, no...he isn't. A relationship is a relationship regardless of whether or not a ring's involved. Besides, not every believes in Christian marriage. And as for your definition of a homewrecker, even if the boyfriend and girlfriend aren't married, what if they're living together? If she/he had done this with the intention of interfering with the relationship, it would still be homewrecking.
