Needed to know

Today, I finally confessed to the guy I've liked for two years. I told him that I've really liked him for a long time, and that I knew he had a girlfriend and I didn't expect anything from him, I just wanted him to know. His response? "Are you done? 'Cause I need to go to the bathroom." FML

Wait 2 years and confess when he has a gf? Mm-HM.

Well, you weren't expecting anything from him.... and if he had a girlfriend why bother? if he liked you he would be dating you not her.

I don't see the point in professing your love for someone who's with another person. I don't really see why he just HAD to know about your feelings, since the chances of him suddenly dumping the gf for you are slim to none (especially after 2 years)...and let's hope he never tells his girlfriend or you might have to brawl! Sorry, mama, YDI!

See I don't understand all of you people who are trashing the OP. The guy absolutely did NOT have to be that rude, and especially if they were friends to begin with. Some men are stupid, and if they find out you liked them all along and didn't confess, they'll flip out and say you were "sneaky" or lied to them. Also, all of you girls jumping all over her are just insecure and have probably had your men stolen before. F the other girl, keep a tighter leash on your man at home and she won't be a problem. OP, I'm sorry that he was a douche. A lot of the time men with girlfriends are just plain rude, it doesn't have to be an awkward situation. Sometimes they ignore you completely, and it's absolutely ridiculous.

You told him this while he has a girlfriend? AND say that you don't expect anything? Then when he doesn't give you anything, you get pissed? You are a BITCH, and a hypocrite, a homewrecker, and a general asshole for putting him in that situation! There was no right thing for him to do in that situation! He could have said that he didn't like you in the same way, and you would be pissed. Or he could have dumped his girlfriend for you, which would have been retarded because they have obviously been together for at least a year. YDI bigtime.

#125, isn't doing it that way equally as harmful? Sure, it prevents you from feeling embarrassed, but come on now. Think about others, too.

Essentially your saying: "I have a crush on someone and he doesnt feel the same way. FML" I have to agree "I got to go..." would have been more tactfull then "i need to go take a piss" but that doesn't make him a dick but your not a bitch either for telling it, although you could have kept it for yourself.

Honestly, I don't think you should have said anything. When a guy has a girlfriend, he's off limits, and he will most likely TELL his girlfriend that you said that. Which can easily create drama. What did you THINK was going to happen. Those situations suck, but you keep feelings like that to your self, because your just going to create something that doesn't need to happen.

Why is everyone putting the guy down. He did her a favor.. she may not make this mistake again because of him. It's completely inappropriate to say that sort of thing to a guy that you know is in a relationship. The only answers she could've liked would've been some kind of betrayal to his girlfriend.
