Panic attack

Today, I went to donate blood for the first time. When they stuck the needle in my arm, I had a panic attack and begged that they take it out. The woman helping me told me she'd take it out in a moment and left. It was then that the Red Cross stole a pint of my blood while I had a panic attack. FML

i gave blood in novermber last year and i can faintly remember a clause in all that paperwork that said if at any time you change your mind about giving they will stop the procedure. it sucks that they did that to you. i hope it doesnt deter you from giving blood in the future. its for a good cause. and no. 6 you are a jerk : /

uh, no. "panic attack" is just a medical term for "you're a pussy, but you still have to pay me, so here's my 'medical' diagnostic". It's not a real condition. Look it up. In countries where medical attention is free there's no such thing as panic attacks.

#174. Panic attacks are real medical condition. They are often mistaken for heart attacks because of their intensity. This person did not have a panic attack. But yes, they are real. Freaking out is not the same thing as panic attacks.

I was under the impression that you went in there willingly.

the first time i went to give blood i sat for half an hour and they couldn't even get a whole pint. i'm jealous of you, you must bleed easily. on second thought, maybe you're a hemophiliac.

This is stupid. If you volunteered to donate blood, the panic attack is just ridiculous and there's no reason for it.

I give blood all the time they walk away all the time it is nothing to panic about I dont like neddles but I do it anyway

Pussy. Even though I can understand having a panic attack (I have them) I can't imagine afterward thinking anything but, "gosh, that was silly of me." Stole your blood? YDI
