YDI for expecting something so expensive, 'woe is me'
Yeah I would definately agree with that. If you want a phone/iPhone so bad, go out and get one yourself. As soon as I turned 18 that's what I did, and I f'ing love my blackberry. My dad paid for my cell phone for the 7 months I had one before I turned 18 and I made damn sure to thank him for it every month. As for the fake-out with the box, don't ever get your hopes up until you see the factory seal un-broken on the box. My family is notorious for saving boxes/bags to use for other things. Sweater for grandma in a Victoria's Secret bag? You bet your socks.
this is fake! there are no 10 dollar iTunes giftcards
I hope you are joking
Hahahahaha! YES THERE IS !! XD real dumb lol.
Hahahaha!! That is a lesson in materialism. Take a hint from your parents... Owned!
**** parents. they suck dick. I would have been pissed off. so much for a bday present. fyl :(
I think iPhones are too expensive for a birthday gift, at least for someone that obviously hasn't left the house yet. I could justify buying one for a spouse.
The phone itself is a reasonable thing to ask for if you're eligible for a phone upgrade (it's $200). But asking them to pay the monthly bill? It's a lot more expensive than you may think. It's the gift that keeps on giving, huh? Protip: If you really want something, don't rely on other people. If you get it, that's great, but independence is a worthwhile lesson to learn.
If you're old enough to have an iPhone, you're old enough to get a job and pay for it yourself. Just sayin'...
Not especially....I've seen 7-year-olds who own cell phones these days. I didn't get MY first cell phone until I was 16.

That isn't funny. But a 10 dollar iTunes gift card is something. Something is better than nothing
I don't know about that guys. I'm thinking the FML is more that they acted like they were getting her the phone by giving her the box but didn't. She has obvious reason to be disappointed as opposed to them just saying no which would still disappoint but not half as much. Wouldn't you be sad if you unwrapped a present and was all "OMG you got me the new *whatever*! You shouldn't have" Then you open it's..a Itunes card. As opposed to it just being "Wow, Itunes card, sweet!"
