That really sucks, you have every right to be pissed off, granite 10,000 would not pay for your full college but it would defiantly help, hope everything works out for you.
Burn everything down and leave.
Your parents are ****** up.
damn your parents are messed up! i can relate to this though, my mom spent the only college money i had, which was 3000 dollars, to pay off a 4-day cruise trip... wtf! so i had to take a student loan and then work my ass off to pay it off without interest. :P ...but ya, it's a total FYL
Tell your parents that they have two choices: 1) Pay for your college tuition from their own bank accounts, especially since it was YOUR money you saved, or 2) Never expect to receive any kind of help or contact once you've moved out, and refuse to care for them or find them a rest home if they're old.
I so would sue them. honestly if you say that you've been saving it and it's your money you can sue them. even if there name is on the bank account as the adult (or as a secondary) its still your money, you are primary on the account. what they did was very sneaky and i don't think any judge would say differently (if it gets that far.)
Well here are my suggestions on how you should handle this (1st) Immediately go to a bank and open your own personal account that your parents can't access (2nd) Now since that HDTV they bought was with YOUR money it means that T.V is YOURS so I see 3 options A) Find the receipt and return the T.V B) If you can't return it either store the T.V at a friends until you move out or put the t.v in your room as it is yours or C) Sell the T.v and put the money into your new account, This would most likely be the best option (and the 3rd thing) Since you can't get your money back for the pool you throw the biggest, baddest pool party. Invite all your friends, invite kids from school, hell this is the perfect excuse to invite all the hot girl's you have crushes on. If your parents complain then tell them that since the pool was bought with your money that the pool belongs to you and your throwing a awesome pool party

Sue. Sure, they're your parents, but God, being inconsiderate like that. It's your future.
That really ought to be illegal. You get screwed if your parents don't meet their financial aid obligations for your education, so there should be some legal requirement for your parents to meet those obligations.
