Today, a kid was ranting that "people these days are so rude" and that "things were much better in the '50s." Annoyed, I asked the delusional twat what was so great about the racial segregation, rampant sexism, homophobia, and all the rest back then. He responded by punching me. FML

He was just an immature child who couldn't admit he was wrong. All the same, argument won.

It was much much worst back then, than it is now. The stuff today is 100x better in comparison.

32- the "previous generation" may have been sexist bigots, but this douche bag resorted to violence when his statement was questioned

Stereotypical CoD Players* I play CoD and have never been as horrid, nor have I seen -too many- people as horrid, as people make them to be... Then again, thank you Party Chat and Mute.

Assuming this "kid" didn't experience the fifties, I wonder where he gets his perspective from or what aspect of the fifties he is idealizing? Having friends who were there, I would say those generations had their issues and today's has theirs. #YOLO being a rather large one.

Some call it #YOLO, I call it "natural selection."

Yes, but with multilingual warning stickers on 3 step ladders, bicycle helmets, machinery gaurds and rubber coated play grounds we have effectively made it impossible to pay for your stupidity.

Good god! I thought I was the only one that thought that way, #53! What ever happened to natural selection? Damn the man!

45, ever heard of the series Fallout? It's a retro-futuristic apocalypse game, and borrows heavily from the 50's. He must of spent too much time in the Tranquility Lane quest line in FO3. (I'm not trying to be a ********; being a teenager myself, anytime someone brings up the fifties, I think of either Fallout or The Help. I doubt he's thinking of that movie if he's romanticizing the idea of the fifties though.)

I kinda agree with him. I think men and women are different and that women should be treated with more respect. Look at America now. Nothing but fat pigs that have kids to suck off the government. Wow am I proud to be an American.

While your comment is ****** up, I would agree with the fact that "back then" people viewed government hand outs as shameful. Now it's the norm and they're looking for more.

i partially agree with you. people arent very polite today. and most kids sit around and be lazy. back in the old days, EVERYONE had to work and do chores all day. little kids are losing their lack of imagination because they play on a screen all day instead of going outside to play. people exercise less. however, i do agree nowadays people have a better education and are more intelligent, and our economy and society is MUCH more fair than it used to be. thats my view

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. Sorry. Couldn't resist.
