Today, a police officer gave me a ticket for smoking. He told me that my parents would have to be contacted to come pick me up. My drunk dad came to the rescue, and almost hit the police car. Way to go dad. FML

I was thinking it was for weed at first too but we don't really know. I'm assuming op is underage since her dad had to pick her up. She could have been caught smoking cigarettes and receive a ticket since she is under 18.

Despite what alot of you lads think, smokings cool, until your 30's then it's pretty sad. It's handy socially, it's good for keeping track of time (e.g, this ******* late, I'll have one more fag and then I'm off)

We're all going to die anyway, whether it be from cancer, old age, getting shot by Sarah Palin, or some crazy sex-related accident. I personally don't smoke anymore, but if someone wants to smoke, I'm not going to care, and neither should you. It's not like OP is walking up to you and blowing smoke in your face.

You're right, she's not. She was, however, smoking while she was driving. Meaning that now every person and animal that gets into that car is going to be exposed to third hand smoke. Also...the only thing I have said about OP in this entire comment section was that she deserved it. I never made any judgments on her as a person based on the fact that she smokes.

You can get a ticket for smoking? In England you're not supposed to smoke until you're 18 but the police just ignore you, there's more important things they could be doing.
