Everything I've read says 2 is too early for most kids and most realistically aren't ready to be potty trained till 3-3.5. From one toddler mom to another, good luck. My 2 yr old isn't ready yet, thankfully nobody is placing "demands" on her yet!
Dont let anyone tell you, your child has potty training issues until they are teaching the 4-5 year stages. We are all different, and learn in different stages.
Your daycare is crap. I worked as a 2 year old teacher at a daycare for 5 years, we didn't start potty training until around 2.5 because most 2 year olds would rather piss themselves than stop playing.
Not celebrating his bodily functions?! What the **** is this?
My son wasn't fully trained until 3 1/2, it was difficult. My daughter trained herself at 2. Each child has their own time table of when they are ready. Your daycare is not being sensitive to your child's needs and their expectations are unrealistic.
Don't listen to the day care workers. They only say that so they don't have to change nappies or wet underwear. Your son will be ready when he is ready.
I have 2 boys. They will train when they're ready. 2 is far too young. Boys train 2 1/2 to 3 - and some much closer to 3. Your daycare would hopefully know this. He's not behind by any means. You're the parents, you know your child. Do what you feel is right :)

Tell him to celebrate his bodily functions all over his teacher
According to pediatrician Emmi Pikler 95% of all children manage to successfully use the toilet during the day by the time they turn three without forcing it onto them. The daycare needs to chill.
