Today, after backpacking acrossing Europe for a month, I picked up my dog from the doghouse. No one will listen to me or acknowledge the fact that he's now missing two toes. FML

PETA will listen... And that place would be shut the F down!!

PETA can sadly do more harm than good! They might rescue all the animals staying there now, then say they have nowhere to put them and then put them all to sleep. The ASPCA is far more reputable, IMO. I think a lawsuit is really what this place needs. That....or me, with some REALLY sharp things and a LOT of time :-)

I can't even begin to describe how horrifying I find this. I would make a huge scene if this happened to me...

I work at a kennel and that is not normal... I would definitely sue. That is animal cruelty right there. Kennels are SUPPOSED to be a place where you can trust that your animals will be safe and cared for. Since they didn't comply with their obligations they should get sued and should get closed down.

At this point I would just go ahead an start lopping fingers off of the people that were watching him...eye for an eye...toe for a toe or finger whatever...either way they maimed your dog dude, the time for peaceful negotiations is looong gone

Kenneling your dog for that long a period of time is pretty cruel. Those are not good environments for animals. Besides being lonely and probably assuming they've been permanently abandoned, they can easily get sick, and, as you discovered, injured. You couldn't find a trusted friend/pay a dogsitter to come over a few times a day and feed, walk, and play with him a little? People like you shouldn't have pets...

I'm so sorry about your dog OP. That's why I couldn't leave my dog in kennels, too many horror stories both real and imagined in my head, and I'm sure there are some brillant kennels out there. Take your dog to the vet, find out how/when it happened and then fon yourself a lawyer, because that shouldn't happen irregardless. I hope he's okay though.

This has happened to a friend of mines dog. You can take them to court. Especially if they didn't TELL you!
