Today, my mom still spends time with my ex because, as she puts it, we might be divorced now but there’s no reason they can’t still be friends. This is the woman who tricked me into raising another man’s baby for three months before I got suspicious and got a paternity test. Screw you mom. FML

Today, my mother shared my phone number with my brother, despite my explicit wishes that she didn't. He immediately went and put it on Craigslist and several other websites. This is the fourth time I've had to change my number for that very same reason. FML

Your mom is a piece of shit, OP. Sorry. I ignorantly fell for that same crap with my ex. My mother convinced me to take him back and when I did, not 48 hours later he broke literally my face, my arm and dislocated my shoulder. I haven't spoken to her since, and that was 11 years ago. Stick with your gut. Stay away from your clearly toxic mother, change your number, and if you're able to, move.

If he's an abusive and controlling asshole, he'd probably just buy a new phone or call from unknown numbers. There are too many easy ways to get around having your number blocked.

Am I the only one that thinks this is an awkward FML. Normally they are like sarcastic, ironic or have a punchline. This is pretty straight forward and tragic. It's so serious it's sorta funny
