She was lying.
hey, not your fault, in fact, she deserved it for lying like that
You're a dogmatic ass for saying it was "physically impossible" for her to hear a certain frequency. You have no idea what her auditory physiology is, so you can't know with certainty if she hears it or not. Teenagers can hear higher frequencies than adults and they are thinking of using that fact to drive teenagers out of stores that cater to an older crowd by playing an annoying high-pitched sound that adults can't detect. So, you mean the GEICO commercial is wrong: She CAN hear dog whistles?
Yes, Teenagers can hear somewhat higher frequencies than adults, due their ears and brain being younger. BUT, there is a huge difference between dog frequencies and Human frequencies. Typically, a dog whistle is within the range of 16 to 22 kHz with only the frequencies below 20 kHz audible to the human ear.
I'm 22 and I can hear up to 21 kHz. I thought dog whistles were, like, 40 kHz but if it was only 21-22 kHz, the girl totally could have been telling the truth. That is not uncommon.
Put that chick in her place haha
that's what she gets for lying
So you teach a class of dogs?

She was probably lying and trying to sound superior if she claimed she could hear frequencies that are in dog-range, so I guess she got what was coming to her.
Actually what he said was not wrong. If she is claiming to hear it, then she deserves to be picked on, especially when it is impossible for her to have heard it. The classmates were wrong, but the OP wasn't
