I agree with #3. It was technically assault, and you're totally within your rights to sue the store for firing you.
I disagree for a few reasons. Many states or employers have "at-will" employment meaning they don't even have to have a reason to fire you, as long as they weren't fired due to discrimation (which they weren't) there isn't grounds for a lawsuit. Everyone is way too sue happy. You got peed on by a 6 year old, yes your life sucks until you take a shower, but you will live. And if you were just a bagger at a grocery store, you can find another job. Its not like you were the CEO of a major company and you are completely f*ed that you lost your job. You are going to spend way more on court fees and attorney fees than you likely make in quite a long time. Get a new job, move on and your life won't f*ed tomorrow.
CEOs get massive severence packages I have never heard of a poor CEO getting "f*ed" because he lerst his jerb.
you know, being peed on is considered being assaulted where i come from. the night buses went on a huge strike because a drunk passenger peed himself on the top floor and the peed dripped down onto the driver. the union was screaming assault left right and centre. so technically you were fired for being assaulted? not very kosher if you ask me, seek representation
Man that would piss me off, theres no need to take legal action at all, infact if you do consider yourself another droplet of poison along with all the others who have to sue because they were minorly wronged. actually i know that i said u could sue.. but please remember... i said u CAN not SHOULD! i mean yes u can! but if its something this small, like #17 says, then its pointless! cuz ur spending too much money on lawyers and legal fees! so yea... as for #19, hitting is NEVER ok!!! NEVER! u should be able to use ur reasoning and talking to do the disciplining! if not, wats the difference between humans and animals?!?! in fact, its been psychologically proven that hitting will NOT make u turn out well! in fact there is a very high possibility that u would rebel more. And specially in a country like USA or Europe, u could loose ur children to social services! so unless u wat that happened to u, refrain from assaulting ur children! TALK to them! teach them that violence never resolves anything!

I am from Europe and I keep reading about crazy FML stories of people getting fired because of stupid customers. Is this quite common in America? Is the customer really always right regardless of what happens??? I am quite shocked. Many time have I told customers to f-off, with the support of my managers, simply because we get paid doesn't mean we're prostitutes who can get peed on - with a smile -
