Okay I'm the person that wrote this, I wrote it earlier today before I got my account and its one hundered percent true we talked about family we exchanged pics but i had never met him before he was my moms sisters son adn i have never met that part of my family because my mom was disowned for marrying my dad. his last name was my moms maiden name so i didnt think anything of it especially since its a common last name, SMITH. soo yes it may seem ridiculous but its real and awful

You all know she might not have had the same name as her cousin? He could have been from her mother's side of the family, and they could have not seen each other a lot in their lifetimes. I don't see my cousin's very often.

OP, why did you send $530 on a blind date? Isn't that a bit excessive? Did you really need a new look for a guy you've never seen before?
And that is why you always always get real names and exchange photos before you meet. And also so that you can tell someone who you're meeting in case the person turns out to be dangerous. Really, it's just good sense.
