Today, Dell's tech support called to tell me that the laptop I sent to them was going to cost an extra $300 to fix, because of the shattered screen. When I mailed my laptop to them, the touchpad wasn't working. The screen was fine. FML

So many things wrong with Dell. I think I'll add this to my list of reasons.

Completely off topic, but ive been on fml for like a year and I still have no clue what OP stands for...i kno ill prob get ripped a new one for asking but can sum1 plz enlighten me...

It stands for "Original Poster." It means the person is referring to or talking to the person who wrote the FML.

It truly depends on what website you're on. Most places, OP = Original Poster But on some sites, OP = fag

I'm fairly sure it's Original Poster.

if it was insured have dell send it back as is and file a claim to get the laptop replaced, if u used dells package to send the box it should have been insured

Daaaamn.. I would just give up and buy a new one. Buy the time you fix everything it exceeds the value.

RoThe same thing happened to me with best buy. Luckily I brought it to the store and handed it to them. Since they didn't have any record of a broken screen when they received my laptop they had to pay for a new one. Unfortunately it's probably not the same policy of you ship it.
