Today, I announced to my boyfriend that I'm pregnant. He immediately denied that it was his because "a childhood accident" supposedly left him sterile. He has a child from a previous relationship. FML

Looks like you have a 50/50 chance of having an idiot baby.

That bf deserves to be sterile. Does he take care of his Other child?

Send him my way so I can cut his nuts off. That WILL make him sterile 100%.

Why would go out with an idiot? And have unprotected sex when he already has a baby? You deserved it. You don't have unprotected sex with a man who already has a baby and is most likely an idiot with that one.

You realize condoms don't ways work. He could of been wearing one and it broke.

no pity on this end, unless it was failed contraception. it takes two to get pregnant. you are responsible for your own body.

Sounds like you found yourself a genius to hang on to.

Ugh, I never understand why people allow accidents to happen in a time where we are drowned in the available amount of contraception. Is it so hard to take the pill when you don't want a child? Or to ask your partner's opinion about children before quitting contraception?

Accident: You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. (I'll give you a hint: no form of birth control is 100% effective on its own, which is why accidents happen.)

I feared for this reply. Yes, I am aware that birth control accidents do happen, but I do not believe that contraceptives are to blame every single time someone gets 'an accident'. I've known some people who blame the pill for their pregnancy, but every_singly_one took the pill wrong. Especially the 'do not take medicins (antibiotic) without asking your doctor'-rule seems to be a difficult one.

@94 so based on your argument contraception has a failure rate of over 50?
