Today, I came home from work to find the front door wide open, the stove on, my 5 year old cutting up the curtain, and my 2 year old smearing chocolate sauce on the floor. My fiancé was nowhere to be found. Later on, I got a text from him saying that he'd gone to watch the footy. FML

Uh, WHY punish the kids...? First of all, they're toddlers for christs sake... Secondly, THEY WERE NOT BEING WATCHED AT ALL. They were completely alone! What would you EXPECT them to do?!?

#53 You can't leave a 5 and 2-year-old in a house on their own. It's not a normal screw-up. It's the kind of thing no responsible adult would ever consider and certainly not for the length of time a foitball match takes and not for such a stupid reason as watching footy. As someone already said the very least he should have done is take them with him.
