Today, I came home to find my dad crying. Turns out my parents are getting divorced because my mom had an affair. With a teacher at my school. A female teacher. And the school isn't going to fire her because she's a good teacher. Every day at school I'm going to have to see her. FML

Why should the school board fire her? It's the teacher's private life and she's not having an affair with one of the students, so why should it be a problem at school? It's gonna be awkward for you and I understand that you must be really upset about it, but you not liking her shouldn't be a reason for her to lose her job.

lol, that teacher NEEDS to get fired RIGHT NOW! It doesn't matter if she is bisexual, lesbian, or strait, it is totally unproffesional to sleep with the mother of one of your students. And it is totally ****** up, if a male teacher had slept with the mom he would be getting sacked too for SLEEPING with a Student's parents.

well that is also just stupid. don't see anything wrong about two adults have consented sex, be they male or female, teacher and a student father/daughter. It would be wrong to have with the student though. But then again i'm not a paranoid american..... I hope the op mom's and the teacher get together. I hope they marry. Not in california though.

Wow. You fool. The girl IS obviously upset that her parents are splitting. And to add insult to injury, she has to directly deal with the person who broke up their family. The OP has every right to be upset.

People have lives of their own, with problems and feelings of their own. Welcome to the real world where people do what they think is best for them and not as personal vendetta against some people. If I were you, I would try to transfer out of her class, or the school altogether. Seriously, I don't think I could ever face your teacher if I were you with out slapping her. She should at least have enough moral and self control not to have an affair with a student's MARRIED mother. That's seriously ****** up.

Haha, is it ironic that this has happened to my family on with the female vice principal at an elementary school? But still, at least I don't have to see my mom's girlfriend. That sucks :( Seriously.
