Today, I caught my girlfriend cheating on me. Now she's threatening to kill herself if I don't forgive her. FML

I will never understand how people can take suicide so lightly. She sounds like an awful person all around. You're better off OP.

She wont do it. Just a typical blackmail, tell her to **** off & move on.

This is only a YDI if you do forgive her.

I tell her to go for it and have fun because she is already dead to me any way.

Don't forgive her, OP. Instead, break up with her and call the Suicide Watch on her. She sounds like she needs an attitude adjustment.

Pacify her while you call crisis on her. If she's threatening suicide she needs help. It sounds like she has a mental illness. Perhaps an attachment disorder or something, and even if she isn't serious it's still better for both of you if you make the call or have someone else do it.

I'm sure the mental illness she has is called attention seeking. There's a small chance that she might be genuinely suicidal, but I've heard of one to many people (girls in particular), plus an ex-boyfriend of mine, pulling this stunt and never going through with it when the person doesn't go back to them. It's an extreme shame because, in my opinion, this happens very often from the sounds of it and the poor unfortunates who genuinely are depressed and feel suicidal might be scared to talk to someone in case they're accused of lying due to situations like the one above. People shouldn't be using the term so lightly!

#20 It's possible she has Borderline Personality Disorder. It's common for people who are Borderline to threaten suicide to avoid abandonment.

Don't fall for the guilt trip! If she really needs help though, make sure you do tell someone of authority

Run as fast as you can and report it to the police.
