Today, I collected my students' notes in class to check them. One girl, who is always drawing weird anime crap in her sketchbook, turned in just one piece of paper that read, "FUCK YOUR CLASS." FML

Mrs Crabby cakes it's not " weird anime crap" it's technically a form of art. Maybe the girl will grow up to be a great manga artist. Instead try this new concept encourage your students, even if it's outside your comfort zone on traditional art. Oh and talk with her parents she's obviously got anger issues.

Well **** her grade then. If she's not going to do the work, then give her a 0! All the teachers I've had checked whatever class or book notes we took for a participation grade. She needs to step her game up and not be so disrespectful. This is coming from someone who also draws "weird anime crap" but knows that if something's being checked, I'd probably better do it!

Anime is short for animation. Does it move as she draws it? Technically, what the student has drawn is manga. Both terms are accepted though. :)

I actually really like anime and manga, but ****... you are at school, ACT RIGHT!. l'm with the teacher on this one. lf l had little experience in something and it was bizzare l'll would called it crap too. and to the rest of the world: don't be so sensitive

firstly to label her drawings as crap is extremely rude and degrading and secondly...the fact that you call her art 'Crap' is probably the reason that she hates you and your class i personally think that you shouldn't even be allowed to teach if that is how you treat your students...agreed that she shouldn't be drawing in class but that is NOT how you talk about ANYONE'S art. trust me...i am an art teacher

No where is it said he talks to his students like that. It's far more likely the teacher is venting his frustration here, where it's anonymous and they can actually speak their minds without consequence.

that is probably true but the teacher probably did something to provoke the outbreak of the child...unless the child has a serious anger management issue, in which case she should be in therapy

i am with you on the fact that the girl is very rude and needs to be taught a lesson...but still that is not how you tell someone...just be a bit more sensitive to someone's hard work alright... =D

i agree BUT the teacher should still not be allowed to say things like that...heck in my school any teacher who said that would be suspended...not for disciplining the child but for offending the child
