Look at my profile picture and figure out what I think =P
We don't know that the OP let her feelings about the girl's anime known. For all we know, she could just be insulting it to us, now, as a way to vent frustration at a misbehaving student. Many students are ungrateful, disrespectful little brats, and maybe this girl is one of them. I know if I were a teacher, I'd be frustrated with students like her too. That said, what do her drawings have to do with this FML? What was the point of even including that? The girl's attitude (and no matter what reason she had, it WAS bratty) has nothing to do with her artwork. The fact that the OP even included an unrelated personal jab about some kid's doodles sort of suggests that she's not completely innocent in their relationship. Or, another possibility is that she was only mad at the girl for doing artwork during class instead of paying attention (but vented her frustration in the wrong way). I know we've ignored our teachers at one point or another to do something else during class, but you have to admit, it is a pretty rude thing to do.
You probably didn't think bout her art work being crap but she said **** your class that made you say mean things through FML. That girl have guts to say to horrible teachers like you I give her a thumps up. Don't go crying through FML..
"weird anime crap"? What does her drawing style or personal interests have to do with any of this? As well where do you get off referring to an entire subculture, art style, film style, literature style, and (in some ways) genera as "weird crap"? Just because you don't like it or don't understand it or have half thought, fact-less, immature preconceptions of it due to an outdated, pathetic concept of 'cool' doesn't give you the right to insult it. Seriously, what the ****, you're her Teacher and you're not only insulting her due to her interests and differences, you're also displaying your obvious and careless lack of concern for her feelings, and if you act at all like this in your class then not only do you deserve her statement, you also deserve to have your teaching license reviewed. Teachers are suppose to be supporters, encouragers, mentors, friends, and guides, and so far you've only displayed yourself as a bully, one thing no one needs anymore of, especially a kid trying to handle growing up

How true.

As much as a teacher shouldn't be doing this, it makes perfect blackmail!
Mrs Crabby cakes it's not " weird anime crap" it's technically a form of art. Maybe the girl will grow up to be a great manga artist. Instead try this new concept encourage your students, even if it's outside your comfort zone on traditional art. Oh and talk with her parents she's obviously got anger issues.
