Eh what? I'm British and this FML is a load of crap. I'm sorry if you feel like you can't talk to anyone, but our nationality does not dictate that we can't express our feelings. If you're feeling depressed go and see your GP. Being British doesn't automatically mean you can't talk to anyone. Granted our healthcare system for mental illness is shoddy at best, but GPs can diagnose depression and get you help! Unless you're using the stereotype to make a funny FML? I don't know.
Finally a comment I can agree with on this. First I've heard that we can't show emotion/feeling.
Keep more American friends to whom you can vent.
what does being british got to do with it? this is dumb.
You can talk to me! Bah humbug to the stiff upper lip!
What a load of nonsense. I'm British and you can't shut people up talking about their feelings... That and the weather. This post has annoyed me. I'm annoyed and saddened by you. THEY'RE MY FEELINGS.
Agreed. This is one of the most stupid FMLs.
maybe in different places in Britain people talk about their feeling differently. some people are saying that British never talk about their feelings and some say they do
you're British, you carry on
Well, some spotted dick always cheers me up! (:
people don't understand that it's a pudding.
Sheesh it was just suppose to be a play on words joke since this FML is from the UK. And I thought British humour was difficult to detect.
Don't think like that OP! There's plenty of people willing to listen to your troubles. In fact, do you know who are great people that you could definitely confide in? The Italia-- oh....right.
I'm British and this is ridiculous. How does this stop you talking about it? That's your personal problem, not a British one!
