Today, I forgot my inhaler. I had an asthma attack and had to go to the ER. The doctors told me it wasn't an asthma attack. It was just a panic attack from worrying about whether I would get an asthma attack. FML

That sucks. And to the people saying "lame", "YDI", etc. Asthma is serious business. People die without their inhalers. That's like worrying about not having a parachute while skydiving. the OP had every right to freak out for forgetting their inhaler.

Aw, that's one of those things that isn't funny at the time but you'll laugh about it later. I don't have asthma but panic attacks are never fun :( And to all the people who leave comments saying YDI or that you should just get over it - unless you have asthma or know someone who has and suffers from attacks I don't think you have the right to judge whether this is a true FML. Also - have you never left something important behind before? Hope you feel better now though x

Paranoid much? GET A LIFE. p.s if you dont get a life try visiting Webkinz. The imaginary creatures won't judge you.

#96. I think you need to hit the enter button just a few more times.

#29, you obviously have no knowlage of drugs what so ever. Drinkable drugs include; Alcohol, Caffeïne (coffee etc.), GHB, Shroomtea, Datura stramoniumtea, you can mix your speed or coke with drinks so you don't need to inject, snort or smoke it. Possibilities are endless! PS. OP, speed does miracles against astma, back in the 50ies it was used as an medicine against astma. So maybe next to your inhaler you should get some speed (amphetamines) just incase ;)

i have asthma and understand how you feel

Right...asthma is more than just "grow a pair and get over it." People with asthma have hyperreactive airways. Their lungs swell up and the muscles around the lungs constrict the airflow. There's also build-up of mucus in the lungs and the increase of pressure on the alveoli. In fact, many times during an asthma attack, the lungs collapse when trying to breathe out causing air to be trapped. No one ever REALLY outgrows asthma. There is still some basic swelling even if there are no symptoms. Yes, there are ways to reduce the effects of asthma, but it works differently for each person. And I have never seen so many people be so rude over a life-threatening illness. 300 million people worldwide have asthma and people die every day from asthma. People need to start being considerate and stop being assholes.
