Today, I forgot my inhaler. I had an asthma attack and had to go to the ER. The doctors told me it wasn't an asthma attack. It was just a panic attack from worrying about whether I would get an asthma attack. FML

That sucks. And to the people saying "lame", "YDI", etc. Asthma is serious business. People die without their inhalers. That's like worrying about not having a parachute while skydiving. the OP had every right to freak out for forgetting their inhaler.

Aw, that's one of those things that isn't funny at the time but you'll laugh about it later. I don't have asthma but panic attacks are never fun :( And to all the people who leave comments saying YDI or that you should just get over it - unless you have asthma or know someone who has and suffers from attacks I don't think you have the right to judge whether this is a true FML. Also - have you never left something important behind before? Hope you feel better now though x

#60 asthma, like a lot of things, isnt the same for everyone. some people have it to the point of life threatening, but some have it just so that they get out of breath easier.

I have a nut allergy, and when I forget my epipen, I can't eat pastries or desserts, and I can't sit around nuts, because I will have a panic attack that will cause my body to act like I am going into the first stages of anaphylaxis despite the fact I lack sensitivity. I can even eat products produced besides nuts without risk. In other words, I know what this feels like.

wow, #60. that's probably the worst asthma 'advice' i've ever seen someone give. it's serious for a lot of people. people who have asthma aren't necessarily overweight, which is one word, by the way. not two. anyway, now that i got out what i needed to say, i'm sorrrry :| that's really all i can say. panic attacks are scary as anything.

Asthma is made up by fat kids so they can get out of gym. When I see an asthma stricken blob running through my field, I make sure to target them in my ambush.

My asthma prevents me from running for more than 1 minute. I can't run past that, but I don't have an inhaler. It sucks

LOL That totally happened to me cept I started to puke as well... #60 that's a lie. Asthma isn't a lie or scam. If you keep running you build up your lungs so it helps make them stronger. This can help lose your asthma but only for some people.

the big thing that shows that its not a scam is that like #67 i can only run for about a minute without a inhaler but if i do one before the run, then i am fine. i run cross country and i always place in the upper half of the runners, but i make sure i keep my inhaler on me during the race
