Today, I found out I'm pregnant. My husband reacted by going out and smoking weed, then getting completely shitfaced, and having his buddies drag his nearly-comatose carcass back home from a strip club. FML

Yes Perdix, some people react well and cry. Others try to get everything out of their system before fatherhood. Just let this one slide, sure it's not the best reaction, but at least he did not become a Scumbag and run off.

Ugh. Yes, the husband didn't act like a nice, caring man would do, but (and I'm surprised nobody mentionned it before) a child shouldn't be a surprise but a mutual and well-thought decision of both partners. OP's husband wouldn't react this way if the child was wanted. So, now I'm wondering if the contraception failed, if OP's husband lied about his wish for offspring or if OP and her husband are one of those couples who don't want children, yet don't (proper) use contraception. If it's the last case, then it's an astonishing big YDI.
