Hi this is OP. First off, my daughter is not pregnant. She has been going to school sex ed classes since she was 11, apparently they don't explain how someone gets pregnant in enough detail. She told me she's a virgin, though she thought she wasn't because she was "having sex" with the showerhead. Apparently one of her friends had told her masturbation counts as sex.

That tells you what she's doing in the shower.

I never really got "the talk" from my parents. My mom gave me a book about it once she found out I was sexually active, but I never really read it. I found almost everything out from school, a nurse, and (in a few cases) the internet. I feel I know a very sufficient amount about sex, how to be safe, etc. so I guess a talk from the parents isn't always needed. I'm guessing OP's daughter's school doesn't teach sex ed though

That's gonna be one weird looking baby....

YDI for not only raising an idoit but not parenting and giving her "the talk". I hope if she is you raise your grandchild right!

I was never given "the talk" and it hasn't affected me in the slightest- but I guess OP's daughter hasn't been taught sex ed in school like I was.

When's your teen mom episode? I really want to know how a 13 yr. old can get pregnant?

The youngest mother ever was 6 years old. That was in the world records.

Well anyone who's started their period can get pregnant, and many people have already started their period by the time they're 13... so I guess that's the answer to your question.

This probably will get like 300 dislikes, but is she actually pregnant?

And she hasn't had her period yet, she just assumed she was pregnant because she recently put on a few pounds.

Well it's good to know that she isn't really pregnant! However, definitely explain to her how exactly it works and the difference between masturbation and sex

Careful. If she douches with the shower head and forces the water stream up her ******, she can get an infection. Usually yeast.

Your comment mixed with your picture is just creepy.. Please refrain from commenting on girls puberty in the future unless you have experienced it. Thanks, the world

aw poor thing :( so many sexual misconceptions fly around at that age and cause so much confusion. at least you know your daughter will come to you with the big problems in life.

210.... He has done that a lot before.....

That's funny, you thought because of the sex Ed class, that she wouldn't get pregnant. Tell that to 15 and pregnant plz and teen mom, plz

If sex ed doesn't work, then why do the states that have abstinence only educations have the highest teen pregnancy rates? Maybe it's because comprehensive sex ed works.

Octwo 16

Or maybe it's because when you tell a bunch of hormonal rebellious teenagers they're not supposed to do something they usually go out of their way to do it.

Sweetpea22 14

#228 sounds like he is the product of abstinence only education. That would explain his stupidity

AntiPrude 26

@238 so true, Mississippi is the most prudish conservative state in the US, with pretty much all abstinence only programs, and surprise surprise, also the highest teen pregnancy rates. Ironically their odd behavior of telling teens that sex is some how immoral is driving them to do it like rabbits, and unprotected too!

Or perhaps no education in the home, where sex education should be taught.

AntiPrude 26

@260 it should be taught in school comprehensively, because that way you guarantee that many kids will be educated, unfortunately however you can't guarantee that parents will do their job. Too many religious nutcases

Don't worry OP, every teenager has some misconception about sex or how the body works, and has a lot of question he/she does not dare to ask. I hope you explained everything to her or found her some teenage inteded book if one of you is to shy to talk about things like that.

Well, it could if you're with someone else and they're also masturbating. But yeah, maybe you should discuss this with her if you haven't already.

I once knew a 15 yr old girl who thought that if she had sex with multiple guys & got pregnant, the baby would have all the best features/genes of every guy combined...she was a virgin & it was her 14 yr old (sexually active for 3 yrs) friend who told her that's how it worked....kids these days have quite the imaginations.

Why not learn it in the streets like I did, or did I learn it wrong?
